Apart from the scholarships offered to excellent students and financially challenged students at Can Tho University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine efficiently utilizes diverse funds such as the Alumni Association of Animal Husbandry-Veterinary Medicine, animal feed companies, pharmaceutical companies, and sponsors to augment the number of scholarships available for veterinary medicine students.

1. Scholarship program of Alumni Association of Animal Husbandry-Veterinary Medicine

Who can apply: Undergraduate and master students

Qualification requirements: Applicants have the outstanding results in entrance exams

Scholarship amount: 5 million Dong

Number of scholarships awarded: 2

Who can apply: Undergraduate students

Qualification requirement: Applicant with outstanding academic records or those having   special circumstances (low-income families, minority status or physical handicaps) with the good academic records. However, some sponsors have additional requirements such as good English or active participation to social activities.

Scholarship amount:  from 3-5 million Dong*

Number of scholarships: 20-50

*The number and value of scholarships depend on the annual funding sources

3. Scholarships from sponsors in Vietnam and abroad, and alumni of Animal Husbandry-Veterinary Medicine.

Who can apply: undergraduate students

Qualification requirements: Applicants with a good academic records (from a passing grade or higher) and facing financial problems.

Scholarship value: 3 million Vietnamese dong

Number of scholarships: 5-10
